Benefit and Auction Reception: Saturday, July 25, 5-8pm
The 2009 Art From Scrap Assemblage Art Show begins June 20, 2009, culminating in the annual fundraising event, an artists’ reception and silent auction from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, July 25, 2009. The exhibition and reception take place at the AFS Gallery, 302 East Cota Street in downtown Santa Barbara. Every year there is a challenge to make a piece of assemblage art using at least one piece of recycled material, theme of our choosing. Theme and Muse are to be announced. It’s a lively evening with music, great wines and two auctions: an art auction of over 50 works of art and a growing silent auction of donated goods and services. Funds raised benefit Art From Scrap’s materials reuse and recycling art and education programs. AFS Gallery hours: Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and on Thursdays from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. AFS Gallery is located upstairs at Art From Scrap, 302 East Cota Street, in
